Mobile World Congress 2010

The Mobile World Congress will be held in Barcelona, 15 – 18 February, organized by the GSMA.

On Monday 15th, Vincent Hoogsteder will give a presentation during the “Mobile Applications – Innovation Vs Fragmentation” event:

The success of Apple and their App Store seems to have taken the mobile industry unawares – as a consequence we are seeing the rise of a variety of these application marketplaces from mobile operators, platform providers and handset manufacturers, amongst others and fragmentation becomes a significant issue.

This session will examine the impact of fragmentation and strategies to counter it. It will also delve into the latest innovations available to developers and how these are impacting the consumer, as well as pertinent issues such as pricing and marketing, channels to market and delivery mechanisms and how to get the application experience to the mass market.

Vincent’s presentation will start at 14:00 and is titled “State of play – mobile application stores”. See the full MWC agenda here. Feel free to contact us if you’re interested in meeting at MWC. We hope to see you there!
